Rejeky Kene is a freelance photographer and librarian based in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. She was self-taught in photography and passionate about the genres of street photography, documentaries, still photography, and the exploration of other creative forms. As a woman, I am interested in gender issues because gender is an interesting and complex issue and far from equality. Photography is one of my efforts to convey their stories so they can be heard, can be connected from one to another through the stories. If the sound is no longer able to be heard, then photography can be a solution I believe.
